    Glen Arbor Pumpkin Festival

    Join the the community for a fun, family friendly celebration of fall. 

    Saturday, October 19th, 2019 | 12 – 3pm

    Held outdoors at the Glen Arbor Township Park, located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street.

    Rain Location: Glen Arbor Township Hall

    Festivities

    12 – 3pm | Activities & Games, Pie Eating Contest, Pumpkin Carving, Games & Crafts and a Cake Walk.

    Musical entertainment will be performed by Chris Skellenger & Paul Koss.

    12:30pm | Costume Parade ~ open to kids of all ages with prizes awarded for a variety of categories. 

    In addition, there will be Face Painting offered by The Painted Lady Face Art and carving demonstrations by Lord of the Gourd. Food for purchase provided by Art’s Tavern will include Cider, Donuts, Hot Dogs & Chili. 

    The event will wrap up by 3pm.

    6pm | Pumpkins will be put on display and lit at 6pm, for all to enjoy.

    Participants may return Saturday evening or early on Sunday to pickup your pumpkin(s).

    Open to the public. Entry: $5 suggested donation

    Glen Arbor Pumpkin Festival

    Join the the community for a fun, family friendly celebration of fall. 

    Saturday, October 20th, 2018 | 12 – 3pm

    Festivities include:

    Costume Parade, Pie Eating Contest, Pumpkin Carving, Kid friendly activities like Face Painting and Fun Games! There will be a food, a Live Music Performance and NEW this year, Lord of the Gourd will be doing a demonstration! Pumpkin Fest will be held at the newly renovated Glen Arbor Township Park (located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street).

    Event Schedule: 

    12:00 – Festival Opens: •Games, •Pumpkin Carving, •Face Painting by Painted Lady Face Art, •Smock’s Craft Tables

    12-2 – Lord of the Gourd Demonstrations

    12-3 – Music provided by DJ Miles Pendergast

    12:30 – Costume Parade for children with prizes given to winners in a range of categories

    1:00 – Pet Parade

    1:30 – Cake Walk

    2:00 – Pie Eating Contest

    3:00 – Games & Pumpkin Carving End

    6:00 – Carved Pumpkins displayed on Town Park walls and lit for an artistic spectacle. 

    Please return Saturday evening or early on Sunday to pickup your pumpkin(s).

    Open to the public. $5 Donation suggested to participate in Activities, ages 3 and under Free.

    Rain Plan: If it’s raining or inclement weather, we will host Pumpkin Fest at the Glen Arbor Town Hall instead of the Town Park.

    The local community and visitors are invited to enjoy this celebration of fall, one of our favorite seasons in Leelanau.

    Saturday, October 21st, 2017 | 12 – 4pm

    Fun fall family & pet-friendly activities with live music during Pumpkin Fest will be held this year at the Glen Arbor Township Park (located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street). Expect peak colors for fall color tours, shopping, dining and a nice weekend to enjoy outdoor recreation. Free to attend but asking a $5 Donation per child to participate in the organize activities.

    Pumpkin Carving is open to kids & adults of all ages! Pumpkins will be provided to carve your masterpieces. Later, the Pumpkins will be placed the corner of the park to show off a spectacle of the lit up creations just before dusk.

    List of Activities & Times

    The fun begins at Noon, with Games, Pumpkin Carving, a Craft Table and Face Painting. The Jack Pine Band returns for live music performance all afternoon as well. 

    At 1:00 p.m. is the Costume Parade, with Prizes given in a range of ages and categories.  

    Following at 1:30 p.m. is a Pet Costume Parade with prizes, also in a range of categories.  

    Then at 3:00 p.m. there will be the Pie Eating Contest with prizes for kids, teens, and adults. There will be a Chalk Art contest along the sidewalks, a Cake Walk, a Photo Booth and Cider & Donuts for all.

    Carved Pumpkins will be on display and lit at 6pm for an artistic spectacle – both on Saturday and Sunday.

    While you’re in town, make sure to shop at our small businesses and eat at the local establishments. Art’s Tavern will have a trailer parked to collect items for the local food bank, including non-perishable pantry items, diapers and toiletries.
