See the area via the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail: non-motorized, accessible to all. Family friendly and maintained for your enjoyment and recreation year-round.

Tennis and Pickle-ball Courts. Open to the public. Located at both Glen Arbor Township Park and the Leelanau School. Open Courts, first come, first serve. The Leelanau School is located at One Old Homestead Rd., Glen Arbor (231)334-5800 leelanau.org for more info.

The Glen Arbor Township Park is complete with picnic areas, park benches, a playground, basketball court, pavilion, water and restroom facility. Located at the corner of State Street and M-22, there is also public parking available here.

Our beloved road, M-22, follows the coastline all the way around the outskirts of Leelanau Peninsula. It's easy to see why our area has been ranked among the "Bests," nationwide, time and time again. Most recently M22 was named "Best fall color scenic drive in the U.S."  You can tour the National Park and many roads that provide breathtaking views that showcase change in color and landscape.

Our favorite fall events include Trick or Treating & Glen Arbor Pumpkin Festival. Enjoy daytime trick or treating in the business district of Glen Arbor the Sunday before Halloween, giving you time to shop, eat and wind down for a family friendly good time. In addition, the Glen Lake Chamber hosts a Pumpkin Fest at the Township Park during the peak of fall color. Bring the kids and meet up with friends and neighbors for pumpkin carving, live music, costume contest, crafts, and games.

Downhill skiers of all ages enjoy The Homestead Resort, while Cross Country Skiers get out on the groomed Heritage Trail. Or, you can "blaze your own trail" by exploring trails throughout the National Park by snowshoe.

The Leelanau Peninsula is known for its Breweries, Distilleries and Wine Tasting available, year-round. Buses, taxis and tour busses make their way from destination to destination. Hit the Glen Arbor Village Wine Trail locations to stay and taste without leaving town.

You won't see a big box store or chain restaurant here. The quaint towns that sprinkle Leelanau are filled with unique treasures, to each it's own. Glen Arbor is known for having some of the best Art Galleries in Michigan, Restaurants with locally sourced, seasonal cuisine. Enjoy shopping boutiques and retailers featuring artisan-made, up-north Michigan themed goods ~ for gifts or for home.

Enjoy a plethora of water sports from from paddle boarding to kite boarding, kayaking to charter fishing or a leisurely day at a beach. The Glen Arbor area is sprinkled with every body of water from gentle rivers to inland Lakes to our Great Lake Michigan!
