Signs of Spring

Spring sunset over Glen Lake

While Springtime in Northern Michigan still includes snow on the ground longer than we’d like to admit, it brings hope and experiences we so desperately crave.

Gray days are replaced with more sunshine and hours in the day. Crocus’ pop, daffodils bloom and the treasured Trillium flower scatters the wooded forest floors. Get out for a hike without snowshoes and consume early spring vegetables like asparagus or morel mushrooms.

While our treasured little vacation towns across Leelanau remain quiet, we notice more traffic as our favorite seasonal purveyors begin to reopen their doors. Take a drive to see the orchards blooming in Mid-May followed by a sunset, sweatshirt and a crisp, local Rosé.
