This year’s Art Fair will be held on July 15th at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. The Vintage Jewelry booth is one of the most popular attractions at the Fair. According to Barb Siegel, chair of the jewelry committee, “The Club’s Jewelry Committee works diligently throughout the year to research, clean, repair, price, and box donated items. Pieces that can be specifically identified will include a brief description and are sold at approximately half the retail price. Prices range from “two items for $5 to hundreds of dollars for one piece. Come look for that special one-of-a-kind treasure for yourself or for a gift. There’s something for everyone!”

In addition to Vintage Jewelry, there will be over 80 booths of artists carefully selected by the Art Fair jury to represent the best local-themed pottery, textile, leather, and paintings. Since 1980, the Woman’s Club has awarded over $368,000 to 271 students to assist them on their path of higher learning. Career choices include maritime engineering, aviation, culinary, graphic design, welding, teaching, automotive, and the police academy.

The Glen Lake Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) organization. Service to the community supports the Club slogan: “If you wish to live in a better place, better the place in which you live.” To repurpose unused jewelry, please contact [email protected], or drop off donated jewelry at the listed locations. A donation letter will be provided on request.
