Celebrate the Spirit of the Season in Glen Arbor!

Glen Arbor, Thanksgiving weekend — The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching, and there’s no better place to enjoy traditions of the holiday season than Thanksgiving weekend in Glen Arbor. The weekend’s events promise festive cheer, treats, unique gifts, and creating cherished memories.

Events begin Friday, November 24th, 2023 with the perennial PJ Party! Enjoy some of the best sales & specials of the year at local participating merchants offering a different sort of “black Friday” shopping experience. Roll out of bed and come visit retailers to get wonderful gifts for yourself, family and friends. Most shops offer the specials from 7-9am, though you may want to check with each location for their own hours and offerings.

Join the spectacle of Michigan’s greatest Bed Parade, or simply watch from the curb, while the fun and quirky event rolls down Western Avenue from the Good Harbor Grill to Art’s Tavern, from 9-9:30am. Following the PJ party and Bed Parade, grab a warm drink and breakfast treat from a few locations also open that morning. If you want to participate in the parade contact Michael Lyons at 630-776-0036.

Light it up! Get in the holiday spirit and enjoy a family-friendly tradition with the caroling and tree lighting at the Glen Arbor Town Hall, Friday evening from 6:15-6:30. Following the carols, the 2023 Glen Arbor Holiday Market will open its doors the night before the main event. Browse the goods and be the first to shop during the “Preview Party” from 6:30-8pm.

Discover unique, handcrafted gifts, jewelry, artwork, and more from talented local artisans during the Holiday Marketplace in Glen Arbor on Saturday, November 25th from 10am-4pm. With a wide variety of booths to explore, you’re sure to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. This year’s market is set to be one of the best yet, offering a diverse range of experiences and treasures. Santa also pays Glen Arbor a visit that day!
