Wayne Pope, a photography instructor at Lansing Community College and an avid naturalist, will share images and video clips of native species such as piping plovers, trumpeter swans, common loons, sandhill cranes and many others, and offer tips on how to best photograph these creatures.
Kama Ross, a forester with the Leelanau Conservation District, will discuss the health of our region’s forests, and the various issues facing them, including storm damage and recovery, and invasive insects and diseases. She’ll also outline the services provided by the Conservation District.
