The Glen Arbor Arts Center is a year-round gathering place for creativity and community in the heart of Leelanau County. It brings people together through exhibitions, classes, live performances, artist residencies, workshops, and events that keep the arts active and accessible.
With more than 150 classes each year, there is always something happening. Offerings include painting, pottery, photography, fiber arts, and a strong lineup of youth classes and summer camps that give young people space to explore and grow. From family activities to hands-on experiences for all ages and skill levels, the Arts Center provides a place to learn, make, and stay engaged. Whether someone has years of experience or is just getting started, there is a clear path to participation.
The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s galleries showcase rotating exhibitions featuring regional and visiting artists, complemented by artist talks, performances, poetry, and community gatherings. Signature events like Plein Air Weekend, the Artist-in-Residence program, and the beloved Manitou Music concert series make the Arts Center a cultural destination for both residents and visitors.
The Glen Arbor Arts Center also extends its programming to Thoreson Farm in Maple City, creating even more opportunities to experience art, nature, and community across the region.
