The Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference builds a local vibrant agriculture community and equips small farmers with the tools to be successful. Keynote speaker Daphne Miller will connect the dots between local food and health. In conjunction with the conference are two additional programs: Farms, Food & Health Conference; and Farm School. Space is limited.
This year’s Farm School features three tracks: honey, mushrooms and agroforestry. We are bringing together regional and national experts for these one-day intensives on Friday, January 29.
Speaker lineup: Mark Shepard, Ben Falk, Wendy Wieland, Annie Olds, Mary Ellen Kozak, Joe Krawczyk, Charlotte Hubbard, Ken Mudge and Meghan Milbrath.
Daycare is available at the Cub House (the Grand Traverse Resort’s licensed daycare) for a reduced rate. For children 0 to 13. Advance registration required.
the Largest Gathering of Small Farmers in Michigan
The 2016 trade show will have over 100 exhibitors, and trade show-only tickets will be available to the general public. The conference attracts over 1,000 attendees.
