In Translation is a multi-pronged project that explores how humans employ creativity and the arts to translate the world, contemporary life, contemporary social and political issues, and the world in which they live. It opens August 18 in the Glen Arbor Arts Center Main Gallery with a reception 5 – 8 pm.
The In Translation exhibit features the work of 32 visual artists from through Michigan, the Midwest, and California. In addition, the exhibit’s central question will be explored in four other programs about music, theater, poetry, and video. The In Translation project enjoys the generous support of the Michigan Humanities Council. In Translation runs through October 26. The GAAC is located at 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.
