MMF: The Tannahill Weavers

August 6, 2018 @ 8:00 pm

The Tannahill Weavers, one of Scotland’s premier traditional bands, makes its inaugural appearance at the Manitou Music Festival on Wednesday, August 8, 8pm. The concert takes place on the Leelanau School lawn, 1 Old Homestead Road, Glen Arbor.

As they approach their 50th anniversary, the Tannahill Weavers’ diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven, acoustical instrumentals, topical songs, and original ballads and lullabies. Their music draws on the rich heritage of the Celtic people. These versatile musicians have received worldwide accolades consistently over the years for their exuberant and humorous performances.

The Manitou Music Festival is a project of the Glen Arbor Arts Center. Tickets are $18 for GAAC members, $20 for nonmembers. Children under 18 are admitted without charge. To reserve tickets or for more information, please go to: GlenArborArt.org, or call 231/334-6112. In the event of rain, this concert will be moved to the Leelanau School Auditorium.
