DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, July 3 rd at 7:30pm\, the NMC Concert Band will again honor America with patriotic music and many musical favorites at the Glen Arbor Township Park. Bring your own chair and a wide brim hat for sun protection. The Northwestern Michigan College Concert Band\, conducted by Patricia Brumbaugh\, is an adult musical organization supported by the College and made up of members of the community and NMC students. It will be a fantastic evening!

DESCRIPTION:Glen Arbor Pumpkin Festival\nNOTICE: this event has been cancelled due to covid with the plan to resume in 2021\nSaturday\, October 24th\, 2020 | 12 – 3pm\nA fun\, family friendly celebration of fall\, the 4th Saturday in October. Held outdoors at the Glen Arbor Township Park\, located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street with a rain location at the Glen Arbor Town Hall. \nThe event takes place from 12 – 3pm and includes festive activities take for kids of all ages include games\, a pie eating contest\, halloween costume contest\, cake walk\, crafts and of course…pumpkin carving! There will be live music and refreshments/food available for purchase. Pumpkins will be put on display and lit at 6pm\, for all to enjoy. Participants may return Saturday evening or early on Sunday to pickup their pumpkins. Open to the public. SUMMARY:Glen Arbor's Pumpkin Fest 2017
DESCRIPTION:The local community and visitors are invited to enjoy this celebration of fall\, one of our favorite seasons in Leelanau. \nSaturday\, October 21st\, 2017 | 12 – 4pm\nFun fall family & pet-friendly activities with live music during Pumpkin Fest will be held this year at the Glen Arbor Township Park (located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street). Expect peak colors for fall color tours\, shopping\, dining and a nice weekend to enjoy outdoor recreation. Free to attend but asking a $5 Donation per child to participate in the organize activities. \n \nPumpkin Carving is open to kids & adults of all ages! Pumpkins will be provided to carve your masterpieces. Later\, the Pumpkins will be placed the corner of the park to show off a spectacle of the lit up creations just before dusk. \n \nList of Activities & Times\nThe fun begins at Noon\, with Games\, Pumpkin Carving\, a Craft Table and Face Painting. The Jack Pine Band returns for live music performance all afternoon as well.  \nAt 1:00 p.m. is the Costume Parade\, with Prizes given in a range of ages and categories.   \nFollowing at 1:30 p.m. is a Pet Costume Parade with prizes\, also in a range of categories.   \nThen at 3:00 p.m. there will be the Pie Eating Contest with prizes for kids\, teens\, and adults. There will be a Chalk Art contest along the sidewalks\, a Cake Walk\, a Photo Booth and Cider & Donuts for all.  \nCarved Pumpkins will be on display and lit at 6pm for an artistic spectacle – both on Saturday and Sunday.  \n \nWhile you’re in town\, make sure to shop at our small businesses and eat at the local establishments.
