DESCRIPTION:This challenging painting event features artists capturing the beauty and awe of the sunset over Glen Lake and Lake Michigan. Artists work quickly to capture the setting sun (Weather permitting). These paintings will be on view and for purchase on Friday evening sale at the Glen Arbor Town Hall. Admission is Free. \nThe 12th year of Northern Michigan’s premier painting weekend featuring artists from throughout Michigan and the Midwest. Highlights include three painting events for Artists culminating in two art exhibits and the Glen Arbor Arts Center’s largest fundraiser. The event attracts hundreds of art collectors eager to purchase the original artworks. Almost half of all proceeds go to the Glen Arbor Arts Center.

The juried Art Fair features pottery\, painting\, textiles\, woodworking\, and jewelry\, as well as face painting\, a raffle\, and a bake sale. Lunch is available for purchase on site including the popular walking tacos and cherry chicken salad. DESCRIPTION:The Glen Lake Library will host a presentation by biologist and science teacher Rob Karner on Monday\, May 18\, 7:00 pm\, at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. Rob will discuss the unique nature of our Glen Lake watershed\, describing the various threats to its environmental health\, and offering strategies for property owners to help preserve our precious natural environment.
