Free-will offerings and donations go to support the efforts of Empire Area Community Center\, a 501(c)3 public charity. \nButch Villeo and The Hanks is an impromptu ragtag combo of Andre Villoch’s original classics gumboed together with Bob & Sanfor’s Blind Dog Hank’s folk/blues tunes\, infused with Norm Wheeler’s cornet. A once-in-a-lifetime performance!

DESCRIPTION:The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday October 9th\, 2021 from 1 – 4pm.\n\nRepeat feature this year include the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt. A must see. Vintage cars\, bicycles\, tractors\, hit and miss engines\, and much more fill the grounds around the museum along with old fashion craft and food demonstrations making this a fun filled afternoon for the whole family.\n\n\nFree popcorn served all afternoon. Moomers ice cream is also always a big hit. Sales benefit the museum!!\n\nEnjoy our woodworking shop\, blacksmith shop\, turn of the century saloon\, one room school\, fire house and Billy Beeman Barn filled with many pieces of horse drawn equipment. Historic walking tours of the village will take place during the afternoon. Music of all kinds will fill the air for your enjoyment. A beautiful hand crafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters” will be raffled at 3:00PM. Please bring the whole family and help us celebrate our 49th Anniversary.\n\nFire Department OPEN HOUSE TOO! Admission is free and donations are encouraged.

SUMMARY:Empire Area Emergency Fund Concert
DESCRIPTION:Empire Area Community Emergency Fund Concert will be held on Sunday July 27th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Empire Museum and will feature a musical performance by recording artist’s Laura Jean Thompson and Kate Quinby with a special appearance by the legendary Dean Robb as Mark Twain. \nThe purpose of this program is to organize and administer fund raising events\, collect and distribute funds which have been donated for the purpose of assisting people of need in our community who have fallen on hard times.  Buckets of Rain currently sponsors monthly community concerts that benefit this fund. They are generally held on the last Sunday of each month from 4-6pm at varying locations throughout the Empire area.
