SUMMARY:Glen Lake Women's Club Art Fair
DESCRIPTION:This year marks the 51st year of the Glen Lake Woman’s Club Art Fair\, held on July 20th\, 2022 at the Glen Arbor Township Hall from 10 am to 4 pm. \nThis annual juried Art Fair features artists carefully selected to represent one-of-a kind art pieces for sale at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. The Art Fair features artisans in many mediums including pottery\, painting\, textiles\, woodworking\, and jewelry. \nAdmission is free. \n\nAll proceeds support the Glen Lake Community School’s student scholarship program. Since 1980\, the Glen Lake Woman’s Club has awarded $286\,310 to 228 students with both 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd year scholarships to Northwestern Michigan College. The scholarships are announced at the Glen Lake High School Honors Night in May. \nThe Glen Lake Woman’s Club\, a 501(c)(3) organization\, was established in 1937 with the goal of fostering social\, civil and education projects. His presentation is titled Liberty and Service. The flag will be raised by members of the Glen Lake Fire Department. A crowd favorite is the singalong of well-loved and familiar patriotic songs that closes the program. \nThe Flag Raising Ceremony begins at 10 am\, July 4th\, at the Old Settlers Picnic Grounds\, located on the south eastern shore of Glen Lake near the corner of Dunn’s Farm Rd. (CR 675) and Burdickville Rd (CR 616). Please bring your own lawn chairs. DESCRIPTION:The Glen Lake Woman’s Club hosts an annual juried Art Fair with artists carefully selected to represent up-north\, one-of-a kind art pieces for sale at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. The Art Fair features artisans in many mediums including pottery\, painting\, textiles\, woodworking\, and jewelry. Admission is free. \nThe Glen Lake Woman’s Club board and committee chairs are working with the local Health Department to plan a safe Art Fair. Closer to the date of the Art Fair\, we will announce updates through the media\, on our Glen Lake Woman’s Club website at glenlakewomansclub.org and also to our Facebook page. \nEach year\, thousands of people shop for that unique piece of art\, either for themselves or for a special gift. All proceeds support the Glen Lake High School student’s scholarship program. Since 1980\, $275\,860 has been awarded to 210 students with both 1st \, 2nd \, and 3rd year scholarships.
