SUMMARY:2026 Winterfest: Chili Cook-Off + Ice Fishing Contest
DESCRIPTION:Chili Cook-Off\nWinterfest\, the anticipated\, fun mid-winter event takes place annually\, the Saturday of President’s Day weekend. The event includes a chili cook off on the deck of Boonedocks restaurant in Glen Arbor on Saturday\, February 14th\, 2026 from Noon-3pm. \nWinners will be crowned as the event wraps up around 3pm. Proceeds from this event are given out on senior scholarship night at Glen Lake School\, to deserving students to help defray college tuition. This is a family friendly event\, just be sure to dress for the weather. \nAdmission to the chili cook-off is $15 per person (ages 6 and up)\, which includes unlimited chili samples. Seniors 70+ and kids under 6 enter for free. \nPerch Fishing Contest\nCaptain Bob will again be hosting the Ice Fishing Contest. Fishing on Big and Little Glen Lake only from 7:00am to 1:00pm for PERCH ONLY. $30 entry fee\, includes entry to chili cook-off. Weigh-in your best catch at 1pm sharp outside of Boonedocks. 50% of your entry fee goes to Glen Lake Scholarship Fund. Sign up forms will be available at Boondocks or the morning of the event in the Sportsman Shop parking lot next to Boonedocks. \n\nEnter your Chili! Please send an email to Boonedocksga@gmail.com or call Stephanie at Boonedocks (231) 218-0009 if you would like to participate by serving Chili in the Cook-Off. 8 gallons of Chili are required by each business\, organization or family in order to serve at the event.
