SUMMARY:Glen Arbor's Season Opener
DESCRIPTION:Kick off the season with a fun “spend local campaign” from Friday\, May 19th-Sunday\, May 21st\, 2023.\nAll are invited to “step up to the plate” and “take a swing” during Glen Arbor’s Season Opener. Event “Batter Cards” will be available at M22 Glen Arbor and Cottonseed Apparel. Take your card around town and “run the bases” while supporting local businesses and seeing what’s new and open for the season. Stop by any six participating businesses in the area to see if you can score a home run! Purchases are encouraged but not required. 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be selected to receive “Glen Arbor Bucks.” \nHow it works:\nThe event will take place at your leisure from Friday to Sunday\, May 19th\, 20th and 21st. Participants are to pick up their batter card at M22 Glen Arbor or Cottonseed. The card has six spaces (or bases) to get stamped. As you spend the weekend in Glen Arbor\, ask local businesses to stamp your card. Purchases are encouraged but not required during this “shop small\, eat local” campaign. Once all six bases have been stamped\, participants should drop off their completed batter card to M22 Glen Arbor or Cottonseed. No more than 2 cards per person. 3 winners will be selected to receive “Glen Arbor Bucks.” Winners will be announced via the Glen Lake Chamber’s social media pages and email newsletter. \n\nThis year’s event winners:\nThank you for “shopping small and eating local!” Congrats to this year’s Season Opener winners: 1st: Sherri Schoeremann (Glen Arbor)\, 2nd: Lisa Fedewa (Portland MI)\, 3rd: Lisa Swihart (Lansing). Each will recieve “Glen Arbor Bucks” to spend in and around Glen Arbor in the 2023 calendar year. \n\n
