DESCRIPTION:Glen Arbor Pumpkin Festival\nJoin the the community for a fun\, family friendly celebration of fall.  \nSaturday\, October 20th\, 2018 | 12 – 3pm\n \n> Click for this year’s EVENT PHOTO ALBUM \nFestivities include:\nCostume Parade\, Pie Eating Contest\, Pumpkin Carving\, Kid friendly activities like Face Painting and Fun Games! There will be a food\, a Live Music Performance and NEW this year\, Lord of the Gourd will be doing a demonstration! Pumpkin Fest will be held at the newly renovated Glen Arbor Township Park (located at the corner of  M-22 & State Street). \nEvent Schedule: \n12:00 – Festival Opens: •Games\, •Pumpkin Carving\, •Face Painting by Painted Lady Face Art\, •Smock’s Craft Tables \n12-2 – Lord of the Gourd Demonstrations \n12-3 – Music provided by DJ Miles Pendergast \n12:30 – Costume Parade for children with prizes given to winners in a range of categories \n1:00 – Pet Parade \n1:30 – Cake Walk \n2:00 – Pie Eating Contest \n3:00 – Games & Pumpkin Carving End \n6:00 – Carved Pumpkins displayed on Town Park walls and lit for an artistic spectacle.  \nPlease return Saturday evening or early on Sunday to pickup your pumpkin(s). \nOpen to the public. $5 Donation suggested to participate in Activities\, ages 3 and under Free. \nRain Plan: If it’s raining or inclement weather\, we will host Pumpkin Fest at the Glen Arbor Town Hall instead of the Town Park.  \n> Event on Facebook\n \nCelebrating one of our favorite season’s in the county\, Expect peak colors for fall color tours\, shopping & dining in and around Glen Arbor.  \n\nVolunteers & Sponsors!\nPlease contact our event organizer\, Patricia at: prwid@rcn.com if you are interested in volunteering in the planning or at the event.  \nSponsors get publicized in event posts online\, called out in Social Media posts\, listed in the Press Release\, Event Program. This is a wonderful\, walkable event\, open to the public\, and free for all to enjoy! \nSunday October 28th\, 2018\n12-3pm\nBeyond trick or treating\, it’s a great time of year to shop off-season sales\, see the end of fall colors\, get some locally-sourced gifts for the Holidays and dine at a variety of eateries. \nEnjoy plenty of family-friendly recreation from a simple hike in the National Park\, take a bike ride on the new section of the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail\, play at the Glen Arbor community park\, or take a relaxing scenic drive. \nEvent on Facebook
