You will learn more about the horses on the tour! \n1.25 hour tour costs $28 for adults and $18 for children ages 4-12.  Reservations required. The play is based on a true story that took place in the Michigan Upper Peninsula in the 1950’s and was written by the defense attorney who actually worked the case and later became a Michigan Supreme Court Justice. \nMr. Smith was quoted as saying “the cast is one of the largest in our twelve year history as well as our most experienced with almost 300 years of collective stage experience. The play will be performed at the Glen Lake Church\, 4902 West Macfarlane\, Glen arbor. Play dates are October 27\, 28 and 29 th at 7:30pm. Admission is free. Goodwill donations are accepted and refreshments will be served. \nThe story is based on the defense of an army lieutenant who was accused of killing a bartender in cold blood who had allegedly raped his wife. The story was made into a movie in 1959 that starred James Stewart\, Lee Remick\, Ben Gazzara\, Eve Arden and George C. Scott. \nThe movie was awarded six (6) Academy Awards and has been lauded as “probably the finest pure trial movie ever made.” The US Library of Congress has preserved the film as being “culturally\, historically and aesthetically significant.”

DESCRIPTION:THE GLEN ARBOR PLAYERS PRESENT “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” \nIn the spirit of the Christmas season\, we will be presenting “A Christmas Carol” on December 8-10 th at the Glen Lake Church\, 4902 West Macfarlane in Glen Arbor. The play will be performed in a reader’s theater format with a very experienced cast. Each play will start at 7:30 pm and there is no charge for admission. Donations are accepted and refreshments will be served. \nIncorporating the festivity of the season and the spirit of redemption\, Charles Dicken’s classic tale has never been out of print since it’s release in 1843. The novel proved very effective in promoting renewed enthusiasm for the joys of Christmas in both Britain and America. A Christmas Carol has been adapted countless times for film\, stage\, opera and other media over the years. DESCRIPTION:THE GLEN ARBOR PLAYERS PRESENT “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” \nIn the spirit of the Christmas season\, we will be presenting “A Christmas Carol” on December 8-10 th at the Glen Lake Church\, 4902 West Macfarlane in Glen Arbor. The play will be performed in a reader’s theater format with a very experienced cast. Each play will start at 7:30 pm and there is no charge for admission. Donations are accepted and refreshments will be served. \nIncorporating the festivity of the season and the spirit of redemption\, Charles Dicken’s classic tale has never been out of print since it’s release in 1843. The novel proved very effective in promoting renewed enthusiasm for the joys of Christmas in both Britain and America. A Christmas Carol has been adapted countless times for film\, stage\, opera and other media over the years. DESCRIPTION:Join Bel Lago Winemaker and avid skier Blake Lougheed for a guided cross-country ski and vineyard tour of Bel Lago’s North Farm. (Located at our Houdek Rd location) \nThe 2-mile trek will conclude at the farmhouse where skiers will be invited to warm up around the fire with hot soup and refreshments and a comparison wine tasting consisting of a selection of current and older library wines. \nTickets are $40/person and spaces are limited. \n*Cross-country skiing is snow dependent. If the snow isn’t good for skiing\, we’ll hike!
