SUMMARY:TIN CAN TOURISTS "SHADOW OF THE BEAR RALLY"
DESCRIPTION: Original “Tiny Homes” On Tour in Empire\, Michigan \n AT INDIGO BLUFFS RESORT  – SEPTEMBER 16\, 2017 \n The Tin Can Tourists Open House is open to the public on Saturday September 16th\, from 12 noon to 3pm.  \nThe open house is FREE.  \nIndigo Bluffs Resort is located 3 miles east of Empire on M-72  \n The Empire gathering represents a return to the club’s Northern Michigan roots. Founded in 1919 in Florida\, winter gatherings were held there while summer gatherings were regularly held in Michigan in Traverse City (where the Civic Center is now)\, and occasionally Manistee (Orchard Beach State Park.) \nApproximately 40 vintage trailers and coaches ranging in age from the 1930’s to the 1980’s can be toured during this one-day event. It’s well worth the drive to see these “original tiny homes” and meet the people who have lovingly restored them to their former glory. But be forewarned\, you may leave this event with a firm urge to downsize to your own stylish vintage camper!

SUMMARY:The Hunt for the Reds of October
DESCRIPTION:October 2016\n\n\nLeelanau Peninsula has become well-known for its Riesling and other cool-climate white varietals and blends. What is often overlooked\, however\, are the high-quality red wines being grown in the region. To help get beneath the surface\, the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail hosts a fun event to explore and discover great red wines of Leelanau Peninsula.\n\nThe Hunt for the Reds of October takes place weekdays during the month of October. For the entire month of October\, your $10 ticket gets you a complimentary pour at each of 20+ participating wineries offering diverse red wines: big and bold Cabernet Francs and Merlots\, aromatic and spicy Pinot Noirs and many more.\n\nIn addition\, the event benefits the American Red Cross of Northern Michigan with $5 for every ticket being donated the cause. Great wine for a great cause? It doesn’t get better than that!
