SUMMARY:Fall Fiber Show | Center Gallery in Glen Arbor
DESCRIPTION:Center Gallery exhibits the fiber constructions of three Northern Michigan artists in its final 2018 exhibition. The work of Midge Obata\, Holly Sorensen and Elizabeth Rodgers Hill opens with a reception on Friday\, September 14\, 6 pm – sundown\, and runs through Sunday\, October 7 at the Glen Arbor gallery located at 6023 S. Lake St. \nThe gallery’s fall show spotlights three contemporary approaches to working with fiber: weaving and hand felting\, all of it taken into a sculptural\, three-dimensional direction. All three artists approach fiber as a material that can be pushed beyond its conventional and utilitarian uses\, into the realm of art object. \nCenter Gallery is open daily 11 am – 5 pm.
