DESCRIPTION:Glen Arbor 4th of July Parade\nHead on down to Glen Arbor and shop/dine – most places are open for at least half the day for visitors. Grab a spot and enjoy the big 4th of July Parade downtown Glen Arbor\, beginning at 12pm. The parade leaves from Glen Haven making its way through to the North/East end of town. This year’s parade Marshal is Jim Fowler and the Glen Arbor Park Commission. \nIf you’re a boater\, you can join in on the boat parade 4th of July evening on the Glen Lake beginning at 4pm in front of the Yacht Club. \n\nParticipate…\nEveryone is welcome and “anything goes!” \nWant to participate in the parade? Cyclists (kids and families) and Walkers can join in the parade starting at the Christian Science Church. Cars and Floats participating in the parade\, please meet at Glen Haven to line up 45 min prior to the parade start time. The parade begins at Noon.  \nWant a front row seat? Volunteer! We always need as many parade volunteers as possible. Bring your own broom to help walk with the parade and sweep the candy back towards the crowd\, to keep kids off the street and safe. \nEnjoy the area…\nMost shops and restaurants are open part of the day for you! Please make sure to come to town early to park and enjoy shopping the lovely retailers and art galleries. Sign out front says\, “Charles Olsen”. \nFaust Cabin: Going south\, at the narrows between Glen Lakes\, take a left onto McFarlane road south of Glen Lake. Go up the hill at least a mile. On the left is inspiration point where you can park. The cabin is left of Inspiration point.  Map.  \nKen-Tuck-U-Inn :  located on the east side of M-22 at Long Lake Rd. From the southern border of the Lakeshore (identified by the Welcome to Sleeping Bear Dunes sign) on M-22 near Crystal Lake\, drive north along M-22 about 0.3 miles to Long Lake Road\, which intersects M-22 from the east. Coming from the north\, the Ken-Tuck-U-Inn is about 10.6 miles south of Esch Road on M-22 Map. \nTreat Farm: South of Empire 1/4 mile\, turn right onto Stormer road. After Tweddle farm park at park gate. Meet at gate in front of 2-track for the 1/4 mile walk to the farm.

The juried Art Fair features pottery\, painting\, textiles\, woodworking\, and jewelry\, as well as face painting\, a raffle\, and a bake sale. Lunch is available for purchase on site including the popular walking tacos and cherry chicken salad. Admission is free.  \nEach year\, thousands of people shop for that unique piece of art\, either for themselves or for a special gift.  \nAll proceeds support the Glen Lake student scholarship program.
