DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to free\, hands-on workshops on May 13 and 20 at the Glen Arbor Arts Center\, from 2:30 – 4:20 pm. \nTwo pop-up classes invite families and individuals to learn about Antoni Gaudi\, the Catalan architect and designer known for Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia church. Participants will be introduced to Gaudi’s style and then use a variety of materials to transform a bird house into a Gaudi-inspired fairy home. DESCRIPTION:Now is the time to write those poems to submit to the Glen Lake Library for the upcoming Asparagus Festival’s Ode to Asparagus. Though the Festival doesn’t take place until June 3rd\, poems must be submitted to the library by June 1st. They can be emailed to: info@glenlakelibrary.net; or dropped off at the library or even snail mailed to GLCL\, Box 325\, Empire\, MI 49630. Plan to recite your ode on June 3rd @ 2:00 pm at the library. An “Audience Choice” award will be presented for the most inspired presentation.
