DESCRIPTION:Leelanau County chef and author Nancy Krcek Allen talks about food\, recipes and writing about both. This outdoor program is offered as part of the GAAC’s exhibition Food Is Art / Art Is Food\, in the GAAC gallery through August 19. \nAuthor of Discovering Global Cuisines\, Allen spent five years researching and testing hundreds of recipes that comprise this culinary magnum opus. Published in 2013\, the 933-page textbook is a tour of world spices\, culinary tools\, food traditions\, culture\, history and geography.
