It weaves together memories from her life in the upper Midwest with nearly fifty years of environmental policy work\, presenting a unique insider’s perspective into the quest to protect the Great Lakes. Her book also charts a more sustainable path moving forward\, offering a bold alternative to the “boom and bust” cycle of resource extraction that have led to both environmental and economic challenges. Location: The cabin is set at the end of a two mile two-track in the Platte River area of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. A peaceful location on a cranberry bog with a path from the cabin to Lake Michigan\, it’s a hidden favorite for many.
