DESCRIPTION:Ohio painter Joseph Lombardo revisits some of his favorite and signature motifs — Glen Arbor night scenes\, Lake Michigan beaches\, and up-close looks at some of the region’s historic barns — in his next show at Center Gallery\, 6023 S. Lake St.\, Glen Arbor. The exhibition opens Friday\, July 13 with a 6 p.m. reception. \n“Most of the subjects in my painting are local\, and within walking distance of Center Gallery\,” Lombardo said. Lombardo paints in oil and in a rapid-fire style that fuses plein air immediacy with some follow-up in his studio. He teaches at several Ohio colleges including the Columbus College of Art and Design. \nCenter Gallery’s show of work by Joseph Lombardo continues through Thursday\, July 19. \nCenter Gallery is open daily 11 am – 5 pm.
