Through hands-on swatching\, knitted samples\, and guided discussion\, we’ll explore the many ways makers evaluate yarn—from durability and warmth to softness\, drape\, sustainability\, and simple joy. Rather than a deep dive into individual breeds\, this workshop offers a broad introduction to the factors that influence our fiber choices\, including fiber content\, yarn construction\, care requirements\, and intended use. Expect a welcoming atmosphere where curiosity is encouraged and every yarn has something to teach.
