The exhibition runs September 2 – December 17. \nWorking intuitively\, Spaulding combines cut-paper collage with exuberant painting. She creates lively compositions in a bright\, uplifting palette\, full of expressive lines\, inserting an array of delightful marks and icons. “I like to begin with an open mind and a playful attitude\,” Spaulding said. \nSomething To Smile About may be viewed in the Lobby Gallery or online\, GlenArborArt.org / EXHIBITS. The GAAC is open Monday – Friday\, 9 am – 3 pm; and noon – 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The exhibition is November 5 – December 17\, 2025\, and features more than 100 works of art\, 12” x 12” or smaller\, by 19 artists working in glass\, mixed media\, collage\, needlework\, paper\, paint\, clay\, and photography.\nPREVIEW WEEK: Preview Week is November 5 – 13. Leisurely peruse the artwork online or in the Main Gallery. Small Works objects will be available for purchase at the Grateful Gathering on November 14\, 6 – 8 pm. Artwork purchases continue through December 17.\nGRATEFUL GATHERING: Enjoy holiday refreshments\, and morsels while perusing the exhibit. In addition\, the GAAC’s Art Wish List returns. DESCRIPTION:Want to apply to one of the Glen Arbor Arts Center’s 2026 exhibitions\, but not sure of the process? The GAAC will host a one-hour tutorial about its online application process November 8\, 11 am. There is no charge. \nGallery Manager Sarah Bearup-Neal will discuss how to apply using the online application\, creating effective photographic images of one’s artwork\, and writing an artist’s statement. Bearup-Neal will also provide an overview of the GAAC’s 2026 season of exhibitions\, the 2026 artist-in-residence program\, and deadlines for submissions. This tutorial is open to people interested in exhibiting their artwork\, both novice and experienced exhibitors.
