LAMP offers a comprehensive introduction to careers in the arts beyond being a studio artist\, fostering professional growth and leadership skills while supporting youth summer classes.\nLAMP participants engage in a hands-on learning experience within a supportive and professional arts environment\, connecting with local artists\, gallery owners\, arts educators\, and nonprofit leaders. Stuart Boekeloo is a descendant who will be on-site to share history and stories of his family’s time at the cabin. \nCheck out Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear’s preservation of the cabin\, having restored the windows\, door\, bridge and property fence\, and replaced and repaired logs. Location: The cabin is set at the end of a two mile two-track in the Platte River area of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. A peaceful location on a cranberry bog with a path from the cabin to Lake Michigan\, it’s a hidden favorite for many.
