DESCRIPTION:Shop small ~ Eat local ~ Visit Glen Arbor.\nAll are invited to spend their dollars locally during the month of October for a chance to win Glen Arbor bucks.\n \nFor every cumulative $350 spent on retail/restaurant purchases in the greater Glen Lake area during the month of October\, you may enter a drawing to win $100 in Glen Arbor bucks! Collect your proof of purchases in an Event Envelope.* \n*Place your receipts dated October 1st-31st\, totaling $350 or more in an envelope. Submit your envelope in person to the M22 Store in Glen Arbor no later than November 5th\, or by mail to: Glen Lake Chamber\, PO Box 217\, Glen Arbor\, MI 49636. Winners will be announced November 10th. Maximum of 3 entries per person. Please include your contact info in the envelope submitted. \nTwo winners will be selected. Bucks will be valid only for the coming calendar year. SUMMARY:Coffee “Cupping” Event with 2019 Chicago Barista of the Year Chris Rife
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friend and Neighbor: \nAs the owners of the Glen Lake Manor\, we would like to invite you to a special invitation only event being held at Glen Lake Manor from Noon to 2pm\, on Saturday October 22nd. As we enter the colder months\, there is no better time to enjoy a cup of coffee! Our event will feature a presentation on coffee tasting called “cupping” – think of it as wine tasting but with coffee. \nThis is a chance to savor different types of the brew\, find out what you like and don’t like\, learn about the different flavor profiles\, and get a greater appreciation of all the work that goes into a good cup of joe. Our presenter for the afternoon will be Chris Rife\, who was a nominee for the Chicago Barista of the Year Award in 2019\, and now works for the Chicago Beveridge Company as the head of education and is the corporate trainer. His knowledge of coffee and the coffee world will both entertain and educate. Please join us by responding to TheGlenLakeManor@gmail.com.
