Do you want to know that you are doing your part to protect our local National Park? Visit with Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes volunteers Sunday\, May 29th\, 11 am to 2 pm at Cherry Republic\, Glen Arbor. Volunteers will be available to help you find the right volunteer position for you at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. \nOlivia Kleshinski\, is a new volunteer for the Friends. She has used her writing and photography skills to take inspiring photos and create stories used in social media posts and the new Picture-Perfect Sleeping Bear book. She says\, “What draws me to the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes is the range of many opportunities to learn new skills and meet other wonderful volunteers. My favorite part about being a Friends volunteer is helping to preserve the National Lakeshore while doing my favorite outdoor activities.” \nThe Friends will also have books for sale to enhance your park experience. The Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is protecting resources and heightening visitor experiences in partnership with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
