SUMMARY:Grand Traverse Lighthouse: Old Fashioned Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Grand Traverse Lighthouse heritage at Christmastime! \nEach room in the lighthouse will be Christmas themed\, portraying the traditional time period (from 1858-1880) and showcasing the keeper heritages. There will be story telling of our only female lighthouse keeper. There will be an actor in period costume retelling the Christmas story of the keeper families. Some of the heritages showcased will be from Germany\, Denmark\, England\, and Ireland. In addition\, learn about the history of the Christmas Tree ship Rouse Simmons\, that sank in Lake Michigan in 1912. \nGrand Traverse Lighthouse\, Leelanau State Park \nDec. 1st – 7th\, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm \n$5 per person admittance to lighthouse.
