DESCRIPTION:Art Exhibition @ Center Gallery \nNorthern Michigan Painter Margo Burian will show her latest works in Center Gallery from July 5 – July 11. Opening Reception Friday\, July 5 from 6-8 pm. \nGallery is open daily 11 am – 5 pm / (231) 334-3179\nmore information @ www.lakestreetstudiosglenarbor.com \n  \nMargo said of her work\, “Summer 2019 will be my 12th consecutive year showing with Center Gallery!!! I will be showing a group of mixed media paintings and collages on paper. The work this year will focus on abstracted landscape from remembered experience. The work is part of an ongoing exploration of paintings which focus primarily on observation and memory. The work begins with direct contact with the subject by drawing\, making thumbnail sketches for composition and color reference\, photography. Once I’ve established visual interest\, I take my reference material into the studio where it serves as inspiration for making paintings. Often I will make a number of paintings using the reference material and each successive painting becomes reference for the next\, until the final work in the “thread” becomes unrecognizable from the initial source.”
