SUMMARY:Artist in Resident talk with Rebecca Casement
DESCRIPTION:Rebecca Casement will discuss a new series of clay sculptures she created as part of her 2019 artist’s\nresidency with the Glen Arbor Arts Center. The presentation is June 14\, noon at the GAAC\, 6031 S. Lake\nSt.\, Glen Arbor. \nEach of the GAAC’s artists-in-residence gives a conversational overview of the residency. These\npresentations offer a chance to hear about the resident’s project\, and the process they experienced\nduring their two-week stay. Casement is a graduate student at Michigan State University. She’ll be\nworking in clay on a series of 20 to 30 small sculptures [2 – 6 inches] that are part of her MFA research\ninto the ways materials connect – whether through glue or thread or resin. Rebecca’s home is in Flint. \nThe GAAC artist-in-residence presentation are free and open to the public. For more information go to\nGlenArborArt.org.
