SUMMARY:Artist in Resident Talk with Jessica Kovan
DESCRIPTION:Jessica Kovan will discuss a new series of mixed-media paintings on which she focused as part of her\n2019 artist’s residency with the Glen Arbor Arts Center. The presentation is May 31\, noon at the GAAC\,\n6031 S. Lake St.\, Glen Arbor. \nEach of the GAAC’s artists-in-residence gives a conversational overview of the residency. These\npresentations offer a chance to hear about the resident’s project\, and the process they experienced\nduring their two-week stay. Titled “Art In Nature\,” Kovan created a series of compositions that combine\nphotographs\, paintings\, journal writings\, and collaged materials sources from the region’s many\npublications. She lives in Okemos. \nThe GAAC artist-in-residence presentation are free and open to the public. For more information go to\nGlenArborArt.org.
