An artist’s reception is 6-8 p.m. \n  \nLowery’s work is based on Leelanau County icons: weathered barns\, laundry flapping on the farmhouse clothesline\, a solitary raven at rest on the roof. He paints in a limited palette and conveys through shadow and light a sense of nostalgia and melancholy for another imagined time in the county. \n  \n“Return To Leelanau” continues through July 2.
