SUMMARY:Ranger-led Snowshoe Hikes at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
DESCRIPTION:Come explore Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (National Lakeshore) on snowshoes this winter! Join park rangers for a guided snowshoe hike this holiday season and every Saturday throughout the winter. The first hike of the season will be on Saturday\, December 27\, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. The snowshoe hikes will continue to be offered every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. through March 7\, 2015. Meet at the National Lakeshore’s Philip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire. If you don’t have your own snowshoes\, a pair will be loaned at no charge. Participants need only purchase the park entrance pass or have an annual pass to join in the fun. \nReservations are required whether you need to borrow snowshoes or have your own.  Ranger-led snowshoe hikes are limited to 30 participants. DESCRIPTION:Glen Lake High School’s Student Art Show reception \n“Winter Flurries”\, an exhibit of artwork by Glen Lake High School students will be on display at the Glen Arbor Art Association January 15-22. The GAAA will host an opening reception Thursday\, January 15\, 5:00-7:30 p.m. The exhibit will include work by students of art instructor\, Jill Walker. Participating students will have the experience of preparing artwork for display\, helping to install the show\, and greeting the public at the reception. \nAll are welcome to attend and support these young artists. \nOpening Reception: January 15\, 2015\n\n
