DESCRIPTION:Empire painter Craig Weisse exhibits Impressionist images of his shoreline community July 4-10\, Center Gallery\, 6023 S. Lake St.\, Glen Arbor. \nWeisse\, a retired physician\, has lived in Empire for 25 years. In that time he has focused his painting on the locality\, both its natural features as well as the historical and neighborhood buildings that give this community its character. He works in gouache and oil\, and strives to convey the “internalized landscape” – an emotional and nostalgic take on a familiar place. \nA reception for the artist opens the exhibit July 4\, 6 p.m. at the gallery.
