DESCRIPTION:The Glen Lake Community celebrates the 4th of July:\n10 AM  |  Flag Raising @ Old Settlers Park in Burdickville. \n12:00 PM  |  Parade – downtown Glen Arbor. The Line-up @ 11 AM in Glen Haven. Then parade will make it’s way along M-22 through downtown Glen Arbor. \n4 PM  |  Boat Parade on the Glen Lakes\, Organized by On the Narrows Marina. The parade will begin at 4pm in front of the Glen Lake Yacht Club\, cruise the coast of the Lake and finally pass through the narrows under the bridge. \nSunday\, July 6th\n8 AM – 12 Noon  |   The Glen Lake Fire Department is hosting a Pancake Breakfast @ the Glen Arbor Township Township Hall \nMusic on the Mountain concert series continues at The Homestead With Jetty Rae on July 6th: Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. DESCRIPTION:Empire painter Craig Weisse exhibits Impressionist images of his shoreline community July 4-10\, Center Gallery\, 6023 S. Lake St.\, Glen Arbor. \nWeisse\, a retired physician\, has lived in Empire for 25 years. In that time he has focused his painting on the locality\, both its natural features as well as the historical and neighborhood buildings that give this community its character. He works in gouache and oil\, and strives to convey the “internalized landscape” – an emotional and nostalgic take on a familiar place. \nA reception for the artist opens the exhibit July 4\, 6 p.m. at the gallery.
