DESCRIPTION:June 27th\, 28th and 29th… ALL DOUBLES\, played in our beautiful downtown Glen Arbor park!\nEvents:\nFriday\, June 27th – Women’s Doubles and luncheon (more info to follow)\, and Seniors (50+) round-robin – You DO NOT need a partner for this event (early afternoon) \nSaturday\, June 28th – Men’s Doubles and Mixed-Doubles Draws \nSunday\, June 29th – Semi‘s and Finals of Men’s Doubles and Mixed-Doubles Draws \n Cost: $50.00 (per player) – Women’s Doubles and Luncheon\, by Cherry Republic\, winners prizes and door prizes donated by local businesses and artists\, T-shirt included. \n $25.00 (per player) – Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles\, includes T-shirt\, sack lunch provided by Cherry Republic and prizes donated by local businesses. \n$20.00 (per player) – Seniors Round Robin\, includes T-shirt and prizes provided by local businesses. \nHow to Enter:  Get your partners lined up (except for the Senior Round Robin)\, email or call me with the names of your team ASAP – last day to enter is Monday\, June 23th. If you need help finding a doubles partner for any of the events please contact me and we’ll see if we can help. \nWe will collect money from you at the event\, please bring cash or check (make checks out to the Glen Arbor Township). You will be contacted a few days prior to the event to let you know the approximate times of play. SUMMARY:'Sleeping Beauties' of Leelanau Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:“Leelanau Lake Effect” comes to Center Gallery at Lake Street Studios\, 6023 S. Lake St.\, Glen Arbor. This series of oil and pastel paintings by Chicago artist Liz Wall opens June 27 with a 6 p.m. reception. The exhibition continues through July 3. \n  \nWall’s painting begins in the field. The final works are part of her  “Sleeping Beauties” series\, and will be accompanied by a map showing visitors where she painted or observed her subjects. Wall focuses both on the landscape as well as subjects that portray the harvest and “farm-to-table sensibility” that characterize local agriculture. \n  \nAs part of the exhibition\, Wall will conduct a painting demonstration and talk about her work July 1\, 1 p.m. For more information\, please call 231/334-3179. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Emergency Fund Concert | at The Manor on Glen Lake
DESCRIPTION:Sunday June 29th from 4:00 to 6:00pm the Empire Area Community Emergency Fund Concert will be held at The Manor on Glen Lake.\n\nAs always the concert is free to attend and is also family friendly.\n\nThe featured performers “BoBossa”  will be setup on the north end of the magnificent covered front porch and a full service cash bar will be setup on the south end. Chairs will be setup on the porch and on the front lawn. The dinning room will also be open and setup for seating and dining. Feel free to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs for lounging on the lawn overlooking the lake.\n\nThe fine folks at The Manor will also be serving a special buffet style menu for the event including Broasted Chicken\, Home Made Coleslaw\, Potato Salad and Baked Beans for a cost of $10. They will also be serving Brats from the grill.\n\nFeel free to come hungry and thirsty to enjoy an up north afternoon on the shore of little Glen.\n\nAlso\, the owner of The Manor\, Nancy Wright\, has generously offered to donate  a portion of the food and beverage proceeds collected at this event to the Empire Area Community Emergency Fund to further support our efforts to bring much needed relief to people of need within our greater community.\nHope to see you there!
