Thanks to the efforts of a group of local businesses and committed individuals, we are excited to offer another winter with our outdoor ice-rink, located in Glen Arbor Township Park!
Ice skating is free and open to the public as long as weather conditions allow. A great family-friendly winter activity, just remember to dress warmly!
Ice skate and hockey stick/puck rentals are available all season at The Cyclery in Glen Arbor, located within the Crystal River Outfitters Recreation District on M-22.
Be sure to come visit the Glen Lake area during Valentine’s Day weekend, as the Chamber hosts their annual Glen Arbor Winter Fest. Enjoy a weekend of winter festivities including a chili cookoff (on the deck of Boonedocks), perch fishing contest on Big and Little Glen, as well as ice skating any time!

We have some of the best conditions this winter for Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.
The SBHT (from Empire to Glen Arbor – through the National Park) is groomed by Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes. They also provide up-to-date Trail info. Check out their website to subscribe to email updates, and we will also post updated info here on our blog, and in our Social Media.
